0-246.1 mph in just a mile...
I guess you could say that’s pretty quick.

Umm, I’ll just leave this here, because $kaybait
The fastest standing mile in a street car was 283.232 mph, achieved by Johnny Bohmer, owner of Performance Power Racing (USA) and Driver of the BADD GT at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, on 16 October 2012. Johnny used a 1700 horse power 2006 Ford GT to set the record. http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/…

There’s a lot of debate about the validity of that event as there is word that PPR actually set up the equipment, not Guinness themselves and his power claims are way low compared to what Hennessey did with the same chassis but 10mph faster but a few hundred less HP. Something doesn’t match up.
Same goes for no onboard video of the run.
I should have added Smashes the standing mile in CO. It’s not quite the full world record.
